DATE & TIME: Friday, December 20, 2024; 5:30 to 8:00 PM (Round 1 by 5:40 PM, subsequent rounds ASAP. End time by 8:00 PM).
LOCATION: Hockaday Museum of Art, 302 2nd Ave E, Kalispell, MT 59901· (Downstairs Classroom)
TIME CONTROL: G3 +2 Second Increment
EVENT FORMAT: 4 Rounds – Double Round Robin Blitz (Swiss)
Players will play each other twice in a round, alternating between black and white. 4 Rounds, 8 Games Total.
We will use a family pairing exclusion, subject to a minimum number of players, if players do not want to play others in their own family.
ELIGIBILITY: A current USCF membership is required to register for this tournament (go to https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess to join or renew).
This tournament is open to all players, including Unrated.
Players must bring their own clocks. Tournament boards will be provided.
BYES: Must be requested at check-in. Zero-point byes only.
ENTRY FEE: No entry fee – $5 donation is recommended
PRIZES: 1st Place – $20; 2nd Place – $10; 3rd Place – $5
