DATE & TIME: Friday, June 7, 2024; 6:00 to 9:00PM (Round 1 by 6:15 PM, subsequent rounds ASAP. End time: Between 8:30-9:30PM depending on quad).
LOCATION: Kalispell Eagles 234, 37 1st St W, Kalispell, MT 59901 ·(Downstairs Room)
TIME CONTROL: G/25, d5 (Dual USCF Rated – Regular & Quick)
EVENT FORMAT: Quads – Players placed in groups of four by their US Chess regular rating to ensure closer matchups. 3 Rounds.
ELIGIBILITY: A current USCF membership is required to register for this tournament (go to https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess to join or renew). This quad tournament open to all players, including Unrated.
Players must bring their own clocks. Tournament boards will be provided.
Quads, which group players by their skill level, are a great way to ensure closer matchups for a more fun and competitive challenge. This tournament provides an opportunity to play three regular rated games in one evening.
BYES: None available as this is a three-round Quads tournament. All participants are expected to play all three games.
ENTRY FEE: No entry fee – $5 donation is recommended
PRIZES: $20 to the winner of each quad
SECTIONS: Participants are grouped into Quads at the close of registration based on USCF regular rating. If we have less than four players for a quad, the lowest rated players will play a 3-round Swiss.
