First Tuesday Chess Tournament – July 1 – Non-Rated – Pre-registration needed

Pre-registration is Needed: If you plan to play, send and email to info@flatheadvalleychess.org.
(Entry fee is still on-site before the first round pairings.)
Tournament preparation takes time and effort, and we need to have some idea of how many players we’ll have. Thank you.

Location: Eagles Club – basement dining room

Format: Game/25m, delay 5s ; Swiss pairing (time control may be modified slightly based on players’ preferences)

Four rounds; bring your chess set and a clock (if you don’t have a clock, use a phone app chess timer)

First round: 5:30pm – (If you want to play and need to start later, send a message via the “Contact Flathead Valley Chess” link in the website.)

Cash Prizes based on entries.

Entry Fee: $10; $5 current club members, or Free with a club membership:

Flathead Valley Chess Club Membership – $20 covers a minimum of one year (The original club memberships ran over two years…)

Membership Provides:

1. Reduced (usually half off) entry fees for All club tournaments – we’re planning on both rated and non-rated events every four to six weeks.
2. Qualification to play in the Flathead Valley Chess Club Championship
3. Supports club operating expenses: Meeting room fees, Hosting tournaments, Food & Drink, flatheadvalleychess.org website
